The insulating properties of A-flex are unlike conventional insulation materials. As an example, the insulating performance of A-flex is a result of critical density at which a closed cell material will provide maximum thermal resistance.
The low thermal conductivity value of A-flex, as well as its cellular elastomeric structure, are centre to its superior insulation properties and energy savings.
A marked reduction of heat transfer can be achieved at relatively low thicknesses. In addition, the minimal compression of A-flex around duct corners and pin mounting allows A-flex to maintain consistent insulation performance, even after years of service.
Excellent vibration dampener. Reduces transmission of structural borne noise and vibration, due to closed cell structure. Also acts as a barrier reducing the transmission of noise from the source.
Inert to most acids, alkalis, detergents, alcohols, esters and ketones.
